31st Annual Applied Geography Conference
October 15-18, 2008
Call for Papers
The Board of Directors of the Applied Geography
Conferences is now accepting papers and abstracts for presentation at
the 31st Annual Meeting in Wilmington, DE.
Paper sessions and panel discussions at the Conference are organized thematically, last for 90 minutes, and usually include four or five presentations. The conference welcomes individual paper submissions but participants are also encouraged to organize full sessions around the following themes:

| Geographic Education |
Medical Geography |
| Natural Hazards |
Race and Ethnicity |
The Applied Geography Conferences also publishes a number of papers in the Papers of the Applied Geography Conferences and a copy is given to all conference participants. Additional copies are available at $30.00 per copy, for individuals and libraries. These papers are chosen through a review/referee process.
Please adhere to the following deadlines and submission requirements (including the AV request form).
Students are encouraged to enter either the paper or poster competition, sponsored by ESRI. Details can be found on the Student Competition page of this website.

Paper titles, 150
word abstracts, session titles in digital form to Jay
Lee. For style guidelines go here.
Conference registration fees ($125/ $50 students) and the AV
request form must be submitted along with the abstract. Expression
of intent to submit a written paper must be made at this time, on
the AV request form. No late submissions will be accepted. Checks
should be payable to the Applied Geography Conferences, Inc., or
registration can be done online using PayPal (registration
link).

1, 2008 |
Submission of manuscripts
in digital format (Microsoft Word or rtf) to Jay
Lee for review. Papers must be in the correct format as described
in the style guide here. After
referees' reviews, acceptable papers will be returned to authors
for revisions.

30, 2008 |
Accepted papers
(in digital format) with completed revisions should be e-mailed
to James Barker. Paper copies
may be needed to verify quality of figures. No changes will be made
after this time (see web page for details).
